On April 16, 2015, the third annual Perspective – A Jared Emerson Art Show & Benefit took place at Zen in beautiful downtown Greenville. The annual event serves as an art show for Jared while at the same time raises money for the Premier Foundation, a non-profit close to Jared’s heart. The Premier Foundation is an organization committed to being a voice for the disadvantaged through their global Adopt the Block program. The event was a huge success, raising nearly $60,000 for the Premier Foundation.
The theme for the evening was Jared’s “perspective” on various classic pieces of art – everything from Michelangelo’s “David” to the iconic “Christ the Redeemer” statue overlooking Brazil. During the course of the evening, Jared painted two live pieces – his own “Mona Lisa” as well as “The Creation.” Food for the evening was provided by Table 301 and live music was provided by the Matt Olson Jazz Quartet. The evening also consisted of a live and silent auction.
